Message: No one expects to rehome a dog when you stop to have a drink.. I wanna say thank you for not making me take my dog MAX to the shelter.. As a 10 yr NAVY VETERAN I saw a truck with Military decal in the parking lot & knew the likeliness of someone taking him was good.. I just wanted to sit in ur lot to see if somebody would be interested in taking him.. I walked in & was greeted by "DOVER". I immediately knew there was an animal lover there. There was a young lady named Kelli behind the bar & I proceeded to explain my reason for being there.. She ask if he got along with other dogs I said he's not had much interaction. She said bring him in so I did. He immediately interacted with Dover & that was it.. Kelli & Matt (ARMY Veteran) were excited as they have the room for him to run with other dog interaction.. I'm sad to see him leave but I had to be honest with myself. I couldn't give him the attention he needed & deserved.. Putting him n a "cage" while I spent the day at the VA is not okay.. Thank you so much for helping a VETERAN help another VETERAN! Atmosphere is neighborly & Peach Crown & Lemonade was smooth.
